Alabama OTPS Exam Prep 2026 – Complete Practice Test

The correct choice identifies a critical aspect of pesticide regulation and safety. The commissioner of the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries (ADAI) can suspend or revoke an applicator permit when the applicator causes injury through pesticide misuse. This emphasizes the responsibility of applicators to use pesticides in a safe and effective manner, as misuse can lead to harm to humans, animals, or the environment. The regulation aims to protect public health and ensure that those applying pesticides are held accountable for their actions.

While other conditions listed may have implications for an applicator’s standing, they do not directly relate to the immediate risk of harm caused by the misuse of pesticides. For instance, failing to pay fees or not passing an exam may result in administrative action, but the urgency of protecting health and safety justifies a more severe response in cases of actual injury caused by misuse. Therefore, Option B aligns with the protective intent of pesticide regulation, ensuring that those who apply pesticides claim responsibility for their actions and adhere to proper safety protocols.
